Patent Status and Assignment Changes
We will email you any change in the
status and
assignment of any of your
registered
US issued patents that we find in the USPTO's
Public PAIR and in the
Assignments on the Web for Patents (AOTW-P) Database.
This includes
maintenance fees that are due, as well as
the status
and assignment of the application, for example acknowledgement
of correspondence address changes, etc.
You do not need to be the patent application's
USPTO's Attorney of Record.
When any of your registered US patents' fees are
due, you will receive email notification from us at specific
and timely
maintenance fee intervals. This will allow you
to better manage cash flow, as well as to avoid incurring
USPTO surcharges, etc. for missed deadlines.
We also attach to our notification email the Public PAIR web page
that we accessed to check the application's fee status.
Subscription Costs
ceStatus charges a subscription rate of $180.00
per registered USPTO issued patent application, per
subscription period.
We offer discounts for bulk subscriptions. Please
contact us to inquire further.
Subscription Period
The subscription period is for the current USPTO
patent Maintenance Fee Period.
For example, if you subscribe immediately after the
patent has been issued, then we will monitor the patent
fees for the first fee period, i.e. fees "due at 3.5 years".
Please note that if you subscribed to ceStatus
monitoring prior to the patent application
being issued, your subscription fee does not
include the first
patent Maintenance Fee Period. In this case, you
will need to register a new subscription fee for the now
issued US patent.
Monitoring continues from the registration / payment date
until either we note that (a) the fees have been paid, or that
(b) the patent has expired, e.g. "Patent Expired for Failure
to Pay Maintenance Fees".
We continue to monitor the status and assignment of the application, for
example acknowledgement of correspondence address changes,
etc. until the next
patent Maintenance Fee Period becomes due, i.e.
the end of the current patent Maintenance Fee Period. For
example, if we were monitoring for fees "due at 3.5 years"
and they were successfully paid, then monitoring ends and
will not continue for fees "due at 7.5 years", i.e.
the next patent Maintenance Fee Period.
Once your subscription has expired, you will no longer
receive USPTO notifications from us.
Prior to your subscription's expiration, we shall notify
you by email so you may renew your subscription with us and
continue to receive timely USPTO notifications from us.
Below is an example of the email(s) that you will receive
